Emergency housing for SINGLE women or, if space allows, SINGLE women w/ children, (boys only up to 10 years of age). Between 5 PM and 10 PM, call the Crisis Clinic of Kitsap County (360)479-3033 and they will contact the shelter for you. The shelter requests volunteers do not call after 10 PM, unless children are involved. During business hours refer FAMILIES to Kitsap Community Resources.
St. Vincent de Paul also runs a food bank and assistance office for persons in need.

Recently celebrating 54 years of service to Kitsap families, the YWCA operates services from three sites in Kitsap County: the YWCA Community Center located at 905 Pacific Avenue in downtown Bremerton, the confidential YWCA ALIVE Shelter, and the YWCA ALIVE Bainbridge Island/North Kitsap Domestic Violence Program, also in a confidential location. The YWCA of Kitsap County provides support, advocacy and referrals to families affected by domestic violence, to families with children at-risk for neglect and abuse, pregnant and parenting teens and at-risk youth. The 40-bed transitional housing facility is available to assist those in need of stable housing, vocational rehabilitation, and increased income potential. Veterans are surrounded with supportive staff and wrap-around services designed to lead to their successful completion of the program and a successful return to the community.

The Bremerton Housing Authority (BHA) is a public corporation with the purpose of providing affordable housing opportunities for people with limited financial means. Our primary service area is the City of Bremerton where we own and oversee several affordable housing properties (Tara Heights, Tamarack, The Firs, and Bay Vista Commons, Bay Vista), administer the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program.
