The Tacoma-Pierce County Coalition for the Homeless is an association of emergency housing providers, service providers, community leaders, and other interested persons who are concerned about addressing the emergency, transitional and permanent housing needs of the homeless.

The purpose of the Coalition is to:

• Provide a network which shares ideas, concerns and resources applicable to homeless issues and foster collaboration in addressing their needs
• Increase community awareness of the causes of homelessness, the needs of homeless people and ways to end homelessness through a program of public education and advocacy.
• Participate in developing and supporting public policy to assist homeless people and end homelessness.
• Research and develop funding sources to support Coalition for the Homeless and Continuum of Care projects.
